Jugendinitiative Triestingtal (JIT)

The Jugendinitiative Triestingtal, founded in 2000, is an NPO in lower Austria. The main activities target the social services of behalf of the child and youth welfare sector in lower Austria. The organization provides social services and support in the field of youth social work, outreach work/street work, school social work and intensive care for young people in cooperation with the child- and youth welfare authority. In addition to that an experienced team of social workers and pedagogues develops different networking projects in the local community to increase the awareness of youth needs, especially the ones of "disadvantaged" young people, and to establish sustainable participatory structures in communities in the region.  Furthermore, JIT develops projects in healthcare and drug prevention, political participation and youth culture.
